تیرے دل میں عارضی تھا میں

Roman Urdu:

Tera lehja bata gaya… mujhko
Tere dil mein aarzi tha main

Hindi:

तेरा लہجہ बतا گیا… मुझको
तेरे दिल में आرز़ी था मैं

Translation:

Your tone has revealed it to me…
It was just a passing thought in your heart.

Urdu:

گنہگار ہوں گنہگاروں سے ہے واسطہ میرا
پرہیزگاروں سے میں اکثر پرہیز کرتا ہوں

Roman Urdu:

Gunahgar hoon gunahgaron se hai wasta mera
Parhezgaron se main aksar parhez karta hoon

Hindi:

गुनाहगार हूँ गुनाहगारों से है वासिता मेरा
परहेजगारों से मैं अक्सर परहेज करता हूँ

Translation:

I am a sinner, and my connection is with sinners
Yet, I often practice restraint with those who are cautious

ہو رہا ہوں میں کس طرح برباد
دیکھنے والے ہاتھ ملتے ہیں

Ho raha hoon main kis tarah barbaad
Dekhne wale hath milte hain

Hindi:

हो रहा हूँ मैं किस तरह बर्बाद
देखने वाले हाथ मिलते हैं

Translation:

How am I being destroyed,
As soon as someone sees it, they extend a helping hand.

Urdu:

‏کر کے ایک دوسرے سے عہدِ وفا
آؤ کچھ دیر جھوٹ بولیں ہم

Roman Urdu:

Kar ke ek doosre se ahad-e-wafa
Aao kuchh der jhoot bolen hum

Hindi:

कर के एक दूसरे से عہدِ وفا
आओ कुछ देर झूठ बोलें हम

Translation:

After pledging loyalty to each other,
Let’s tell a few lies for a while.

Urdu:

اے شخص میں تیری جستجو سے
بے زار نہیں ہوں تھک گیا ہوں

Roman Urdu:

Aye shakhs, main teri justuju se
Bezaar nahi hoon, thak gaya hoon

Hindi:

ऐ शख्स, मैं तेरी जستجو से
बेजार नहीं हूँ, थक गया हूँ

Translation:

Oh person, because of seeking you,
I am not desolate, but I am tired.

نیا اک رشتہ پیدا کیوں کریں ہم
بچھڑنا ہے تو جھگڑا کیوں کریں ہم

Roman Urdu:

Naya ek rishta paida kyun karein hum
Bichhadna hai to jhagra kyun karein hum

Hindi:

नया एक रिश्ता पैदा क्यों करें हम
बिछड़ना है तो झगड़ा क्यों करें हम

Translation:

Why should we create a new relationship
If we have to part ways, why should we quarrel?

Urdu:

شب جو ہم سے ہوا معاف کرو
نہیں پی تھی بہک گئے ہوں گے

Roman Urdu:

Shab jo hum se hawa maaf karo
Nahi pee thi, bhek gaye hoon gay

Hindi:

शब जो हम से हवा माफ़ करो
नहीं पी थी, भटक गए हैं हम

Translation:

Forgive the night that misled me,
I hadn’t drunk, I’ve just lost my way.

Urdu:

میری ہر بات بے اثر ہی رہی
نقص ہے کچھ مرے بیان میں کیا

Roman Urdu:

Meri har baat be-asar hi rahi
Nuqs hai kuch mere bayan mein kya

Hindi:

मेरी हर बात बे-असर ही रही
नुकस है कुछ मेरे बयान में क्या

Translation:

Every word of mine remained ineffective,
There are some flaws in my expression, what does it matter?

Urdu:

یہ بہت غم کی بات ہو شاید
اب تو غم بھی بھول چکا ہوں میں

Roman Urdu:

Yeh bahut gham ki baat ho shayad
Ab to gham bhi bhool chuka hoon main

Hindi:

यह बहुत ग़म की बात हो शायद
अब तो ग़म भी भूल चुका हूँ मैं

Translation:

This might be a very sad thing,
Now, perhaps, I have even forgotten the sorrow.

Urdu:

رویا ہوں تو اپنے دوستوں میں
پر تجھ سے تو مسکرا کر ہی ملا ہوں

Roman Urdu:

Royaa hoon to apne dosto mein
Par tujh se to muskura kar hi mila hoon

Hindi:

रोया हूँ तो अपने दोस्तों में
पर तुझ से तो मुस्कुरा कर ही मिला हूँ

Translation:

When I cried, it was among my friends
But with you, I found solace in a smile.

Urdu:

ہماری ہی تمنا کیوں کرو تم
تمہاری ہی تمنا کیوں کریں ہم

Roman Urdu:

Hamari hi tamanna kyun karo tum
Tumhari hi tamanna kyun karein hum

Hindi:

हमारी ही तमन्ना क्यों करो तुम
तुम्हारी ही तमन्ना क्यों करें हम

اس کے لبوں پہ رکھ کے ہونٹ اپنے
